A first in my career of caketière! A competition!
I really had a lot of fun creating this cake! I wanted to got with something that would say ''wedding'' but with a modern twist.

So here is what I came up with:

The flavors for this Flash Mcqueen Cake was inspired by the well known black forest cake, so it was chocolate cake with Vanilla Italian Meringue Buttercream and cherry jam.

Knitting Tool Basket Cake

This cake was for a very sweet girl named Christine, who loves to knit as you can see ^-^
Everything was edible... the needles and the basket handle were made out of gum paste, the rest was all fondant :)

It was my first time using the airbrush and all I have to say is: I LOVED IT!! How quick and easy and fun is that!! I had such a blast using it... I kept going back to my bf to tell him: ''Come see, come see! It's too awesome!'' I was jumping everywhere like a kid! ^-^

Baptism Cake

This was a cake to celebrate the baptism of a very special little guy named Christian :)

It was yellow cake with lemon italian meringue buttercream and lemon curd... very fresh tasting.. yum!

Tulip Cake

This was a cake for my mom's birthday.She loved it and I loved that she loved it! ^-^

It was white cake layers with dark chocolate ganache and fresh blackberry soaked and cooked in port. Yum! We all agreed that it was one of the best cake I have done so far!

All edible except for the dark stamens inside the flower. :)

Rose Cupcakes

This was my first attempt at piping roses with crusting buttercream. I was quite happy with the result. :)

I made a bunch of these to compete in a photo contest. The theme was ''My Guilty Pleasure'', so I ended up filling my fridge with tons of treats like cupcakes and cakes. My concept was a picture of me getting caught in the middle of the night, ''pigging out'' myself on these treats. You should have seen me! .. well maybe not! ^-^

At the end, all my work on this project really paid off since I won the best price ever!! A macbook!!! WOOT!

Twin's Birthday Cakes - Their favorite characters

Each twin had his own cake representing their favorite character, one being the well known video game character, Sonic the Hedgehog, and the other one, Matanui, a character in the Lego Bionicle Series :)

This cake was about 5' tall!!!Three tiers had banana cake and cream cheese italian meringue buttercream and the other three tiers had yellow cake with strawberry italian meringue buttercream. Banana was my favorite! :P

Cupcake Camp Montreal - Sunflower Cupcake

This was my entry in the Best Amateur Design category at Cupcake Camp Montreal 2009.
I didn't win, but it was a lot of fun to create!

The event was a big success... they raised 8000$ in an afternoon! All the proceeds went directly to Kids Help Phone which is Canada’s only toll-free, national, bilingual, phone and web counselling, referral and information service for children and youth.
So... Congrats! :D

Hope to be back at Cupcake Camp in 2010!
